What's Involved?
To be valid, Death Benefit Nominations must be permitted under the trust deed rules of the Superannuation Fund, compliant with the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (Cth) (SIS ACT) and signed and witnessed correctly.
In making a Nomination, you need to check that your superannuation trust deed rules allow you to make a Nomination, decide what type is best for you, make sure the person(s) you are nominating are eligible to be paid your super and ensure the Nomination you sign is legal and valid.
